Moving a piano in Gainesville requires the skill and knowledge of professionals. Gator Saver Movers employees are trained in how to properly move a piano without causing any damage. Pianos are extremely heavy yet delicate and require extra attention. Recently a moving company from Chicago contacted us to help move a baby grand piano to the second story in Uptown Village.

For those not familiar with Uptown Village it is the apartment community located off 39th avenue where the Red Onion Grill is. The buildings are colorful and very hard to miss. After getting all the details on the location and what was needed our crew headed to Uptown Village with dollies, straps and muscle! The moving company from Chicago already had a piano board which is essential for moving a piano. The only thing they were lacking was manpower which is why they called us.

To properly move the piano it needs to be secured to the piano board with the legs removed and strapped down using high strength straps. As you can see in this picture the piano is securely strapped to the piano board.

The piano board allows a dollie to then be used to safely move the piano where it needs to go. It is advised to have at least two people at the top and three at the bottom. The baby grand piano that was moved in Gainesville at Uptown Village weighed close to 1000lbs and required every bit of five men to move. Slowly and carefully we navigated the twenty steps of from the first to second floor of Uptown Village one at a time. As you can see in the second picture below it made it up the stairs.

The piano still must have the legs attached and placed rightside up. The customer was very happy and immediately began playing the piano once we had it in the apartment. When moving a piano in Gainesville remember to call a professional. Gator Saver Movers is the best piano movers in Gainesville.

Moving to Gainesville Florida can be quite an adventure. There are many different apartment complexes in Gainesville that present unique obstacles when moving in. With the large resort style apartments such as The Bartram and Wildflower long walks can often present challenges for most students when moving to Gainesville. Things to remember when moving to Gainesville are

Have you coordinated with your Gainesville apartment manager so they know a moving truck will be outside?

Does your apartment complex have a special loading ramp or elevator that would make getting to additional stories easier?

Does your Gainesville moving company know how long of a walk there may or may not be? Long walks can often increase the price because of the additional amount of time it takes to move your items in

There are many other things to consider when moving to Gainesville but the above three are the most commonly overlooked. Choosing the right Gainesville movers should take a little bit of time. It is recommended that you have at least three in home estimates from licensed and insured movers. Gator Saver Movers estimators are trained to give the most accurate quotes and we will stand behind any quote we give 100%. We do not believe in hidden fees when moving to Gainesville and neither should you. Give us a call at 352-215-0026 and allow us to remove the stress of moving to Gainesville.

Moving to a new house in Gainesville can be an adventure all in itself. The adventure of moving starts with properly looking for a new house. Moving to a new home in Gainesville, though stressful can be a very rewarding experience. There are a few things that one must keep in mind when moving in Gainesville although the same general rules apply across the board.

Some of the most important things to consider when moving to a new house or apartment is the welfare and comfort of any children and what type of support structure you’ll have at your new home. Will the new house put you closer or further away from your family? How far of a commute to your job and schools are you? Gainesville school districts have a very unique demographic. Gainesville school district zoning can often place the school more than 10 miles away. Children that live in west of tower road find themselves going to school at Lincoln middle school. The address for Lincoln middle school is 1001 S.E. 12th Street Gainesville, Florida 32641. When moving to Gainesville one should always make sure they move to the correct zone for the school they wish for their children to attend.

Children are often the ones who feel the effects of the move the most. Settling into a new home and making friends at a different school in Gainesville can be difficult for children. When choosing the perfect home allowing children to have a voice in the decision is a great way to ease some of the burden. With the rise of the internet researching a house and all of the factors that go into choosing your home can be done much easier than before.

Research the different amenities, shopping and schools in the area you’re moving to in Gainesville. Many Gainesville apartment and real estate websites have reviews that can help level the playing field after listening to all of the different marketing ploys thrown at potential home buyers or renters. Does the location you’re moving to in Alachua county allow for easy access to these amenities as well as jobs and schools. Gainesville and the surrounding areas have many different types of living styles. There are the all inclusive rental properties like The Estates as well as the more upscale WIldflower and Bartram. When making a final decision on where to move in Gainesville make sure to weigh both the pros and cons. Most likely some sacrifice or compromise will need to happen. After choosing a new house or apartment it is time to get moving quotes from some local companies.

Gainesville movers are required by state law to give a written estimate and contract prior to performing the move. It is recommended by the state and Gator Saver Movers. Be cautious of companies that do not perform on site estimates. Always ask for the movers for proof of license and insurance. Using an unlicensed mover in Gainesville can often save you money but is it worth risking all of your belongings? If something goes wrong and your movers were operating without a license and insurance there is little likelihood of your damaged goods being replaced without having to go to court. In the end is it worth the risk to save some money?

You can also balance isolation and city life with what you prefer – if you prefer a quieter pace of life, its better to move to a town, though you may find that houses further out of cities may cost slightly more. But you will obviously find that the houses give you more room, including – possibly – a garden. With all the choices you may have to move houses, the best decision you can make is one that leaves you satisfied, and gives you the closest to your perfect match of needs and wants as you can find.
