Packing & Labeling

Below you will find some tips to ensure your items are safely protected and arrive at the new location without a scratch.  Remember that owner packed boxes are not covered under insurance.  Consider having our professional movers package your items for you using high quality boxes, bubble wrap and tape.  All of the same items that we use are available for purchase.

  • Only use high quality packaging tape and boxes.  Remember your valuable items are being kept safe.  No painters tape, duct tape, or masking tape should be used
  • All items wanting to be moved should be boxed.  Pictures, mirrors, paintings and lamp shades must also be boxed for us to move them safely.  Wardrobe boxes are to be used for all hang up clothes.
  • Fragile items should be protected with paper or bubble wrapped
  • Do not over stuff the boxes, or force the top to shut.  If either of these is the case then use another box.  Having boxes with bulging sides and or tops ruins the integrity of the box and its ability to keep your items safe
  • Heavier items must go in small boxes and no box should be more than fifty pounds
  • Label all boxes by type and location of the new place they are to be placed
  • We will not move boxes that are not sealed with tape.  Boxes closed by any other method cannot be transported safely
  • All items need to be in boxes with the exception of luggage.  Luggage must be empty for us to move it
  • Plants cannot be watered for a period no less than four days prior to moving day
